Multiple Choice Test:

This is a 40 question, comprehensive, multiple choice test on Shakespeare's Macbeth. An Answer Key is included.

The test comes in two formats: a google form, and a word document. I love google forms because it makes grading so much faster, but use whatever format you prefer.

I made this test for high school students, but as the majority of the questions are based on reading comprehension, it could possibly be taken by advanced junior high students as well.

PowerPoint:

I made this spoiler-free, 15-slide PowerPoint to introduce Shakespeare's Macbeth to my high school students. It includes information about the story (with no spoilers beyond the fact that Macbeth murders King Duncan), the major characters, and the themes of the play. A slide with some information on Shakespeare himself is also included. Each slide comes with speaker notes(see the preview for an example), which you can either read verbatim to your class or modify as needed.

Once again, this is a no-spoilers PowerPoint, so some elements of the plot are deliberately not mentioned in order to maintain the sense of surprise for students as they experience Macbeth.
