What a perfect time of year to release Waubgeshig Rice's Moon of the Turning Leaves. I have been in touch with Waub over the last couple of years about the novel, and eagerly waited for it. As I turned the pages reading, the maple tree in my yard kept pace with its leaves turning from green to golden yellow. What a delight to catch up with the characters from Moon of the Crusted Snow and embark on another adventure and the continuing "story of survival, resilience, Indigenous identity, and rebirth."
