MN Math Standards Vertical Alignment Between Eighth Grade and High School

This horizontal standard alignment provides a comparison for teachers to see what students are expected to know in eighth grade and how it compares to what students are expected to know in high school. These standards and benchmarks show what students need to master by the end of the year and for the MN Math MCA Test. It also shows the gaps in expectations that need to be taught in order for the students to be ready for the following year. This horizontal alignment can be used by teachers, administrators, during professional development sessions or staff meetings, or to check for student understanding throughout the course of the year.
