Description

THIS COMPLETE SLIDE PRESENTATION WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER!

This is the slide presentation you need to teach the 3 major Mesoamerican civilizations, the Mayas, the Incas, and the Aztecs. It's complete with geography, economics, politics, achievements, and much more about each of them. It also includes videos, maps, and central questions to deepen the class discussions and promote student interaction during the lecture. Also, it's 100% editable so that you can adapt it according to your classroom needs.

The presentation is divided into:

PART 1 (OVERVIEW): introduce the topic by presenting students with questions and promoting students related to the use of Mesoamerican peoples over "Pre-Columbian" and showing students the great variety of peoples who first populated the Americas before the arrival of the Europeans.

PART 2 (MAYAS): Explore with students the major facts about the Mayas such as their location, political system, economics, and religion. In addition, discuss the Mayas' achievements such as their calendar and even bring out the Mayas' Doomsday prophecy with a National Geographic video.

PART 3 (AZTECS): Examine and dive into the complexities of the Aztec social, political, economic, and religious life through maps, Aztec illustrations, and videos that will enrich the discussions. Also, you'll bring to light the Conquest of the Aztecs, highlighting the many reasons why the Spanish were able to defeat such a powerful empire.

PART 4 (INCAS): Dive into the biggest empire in the Americas and its achievements in the Andes. Present students political, social, economic, cultural, and religious aspects of the Inca Empire to end with their decline under the Spanish invasion and Francisco Pizarro.
