    Recess Portable Communication Cards. Autism picture exchange.

    In this pack you will find 11 different recess activities, items, communication and associated actions categories. Each category comes in 3 different sized communication cards.

    Sizes are:

    -Large (8 squares)…..available in color and low ink option…..(7.5”x 4.24” vertical)

    -Medium (6 squares)….available in color (6”x 4.75” horizontal)

    -Small (4 squares)…..available in color (4”x 5” vertical)

    Each category has its own unique color to aid with visual discrimination as each comes with an optional cover page to conveniently divide/separate each subject. Both the large and medium cover pages are tabbed to facilitate student in finding the desired communication visual quickly and efficiently.

    The different sizes of communication cards are provided to not only aid in the portability of the cards (larger cards on a lanyard, smaller on a wristlet etc) but also to assist students who have deficits in scanning large arrays.

    Autism and Speech Portable Visual Communication Cards.

    2 sizes are provided.

    The larger size (6.75 inches x 6 inches) is for the teacher/adult to help prompt their student to communicate their needs.

    The smaller size (5.25 inches x 4.5 inches) is for the student to keep with them. The small size allows for the student to easy keep the communication to hand (using a lanyard/book ring/keychain) and to carry it with them at all times as they transition throughout the school building.

    ***Please note- all labels/titles in this product are presented in lower case.

    Portable Visual Schedule Booklet and Behavior Management Tool. Autism

    This product is designed to provide a portable visual schedule of the school day (size 7" x 9.75") for students with autism and other developmental delays. In addition to providing a daily schedule, additional pages can be printed to create a portable packet that also includes specific information for each class/subject such as:

    -school equipment/items needed

    -classroom/work actions that need to be performed by the student in that class/subject

    -behavioral expectations

    -token reinforcement economy to reinforce/reward the completion of classroom actions or the execution of the correct behavioral expectations.

    A wide variety of visuals/picture icons are provided to cover a wide range of:

    -behaviors (both positive and negative)

    -school/class subjects

    -school equipment/items

    -classroom/work based actions

    -reinforcers/rewards for the students to work towards

    Daily visual schedule.

    An individualized visual schedule helps students diagnosed with autism as:

    It utilizes the individual’s visual strengths and therefore provides a receptive communication system to increase understanding;

    It helps the individual to learn new things and broaden their interests;

    It provides tools that allow the individual to use skills in a variety of settings;

    It can increase the individual’s flexibility;

    It helps the individual remain calm and reduces inappropriate behaviors; and

    It helps the individual to develop independence and resulting self-esteem.
