The mix of activities in these 50 digital Boom Cards will reinforce students’ understanding of the three states of matter: solids, liquids and gases.
►► ACTIVITY
✅ Card 1 provides students with a brief overview of the three states of matter and instructions to complete the task.
✅ In Cards 2-35, students identify the state of matter (solid, liquid, gas) for a given
visual.
✅ In Cards 36-38, students will identify the solids, liquids and gases from a mixed
selection of visuals and select four of each.
✅ In Cards 39-41, students will identify the solids, liquids and gases from a mixed
selection of visuals and drag and drop them onto the empty tiles.
✅ Cards 42-49 assimilate students’ knowledge of the three states of matter. They
will select Yes or No options to given questions.
✅ Card 50 signifies the end of the activity.
►►These activities gradually scaffold the assimilation of content knowledge in manageable chunks making abstract content more concrete.

⚫ You will find a link to the digital Boom Cards in a pdf file on download. By clicking on the link, you will be directed to the Boom Learning website.
⚫ Set up an account with Boom Learning (if you are new to the site) to add this resource to your library.
⚫ You may set up a classroom to assign these cards to your students or generate a ‘Fast Pin’ or a ‘Hyperplay’ link to share via your online learning platform similar to Google Classroom and the like.
