Description

These low-prep, standards-based math centers are perfect for build number sense for your Kindergarten and 1st Grade students. This set of task card for centers is aligned to the K-2 CCSS and TEKS. Print, laminate, gather a few materials, and your centers are good to go! Your Kindergarten and 1st Grade students can math center tasks can last you ALL YEAR LONG by gradually increasing the magnitude of the numbers used with each activity. Differentiate the math center tasks the same way—just use different numbers for different students!

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
Compare two numbers between 1 and 10 presented as written numerals.
Represent whole numbers as lengths from 0 on a number line diagram with equally spaced points corresponding to the numbers 0, 1, 2,..., and represent whole-number sums and differences within 100 on a number line diagram.
