This is a word document of outlines for all 18 Sessions in the “Word Detectives” manual for Lucy Calkins reading (published in 2014). Teachers College Reading and Writing Project suggests that first grade teachers teach this unit in Oct/Nov. The body of the text is fully editable. The footer is the only part protected.
Each outline includes a brief synopsis of the:

teach portion
active engagement

mid-workshop teaching point
transition to partner time
share
Each outline is a maximum of one page, so they are quick to read when lesson planning and easy to skim just before teaching. Specific pages in the Word Detectives manual are referenced when visuals were provided that I found useful.
These are my own personal outlines that I made for my own personal use. You may find small imperfections in my syntax or silly spelling errors. I am selling this as a word document so that you can alter and edit the outlines to fit your needs, teaching style, and interpretation of the Lucy Calkins reading curriculum. While I do believe it is a high-quality product that will save you lots of time, it is priced low to account for the lack of professional editing.
