Loving Vincent Movie Guide

This is my go to movie that I save for a sub day as needed throughout the year – I like to use it for a planned absence – and it works great for 2 days if you are out that long. Before I am out I usually run through the powerpoint to explain the movie and how it came about. We discuss the basic facts concerning Van Gogh and we look at some of his work (they enjoy catching the REAL Van Goghs as they appear among the paintings in the movie). They are very interested in the process of the movie.

This movie guide is not meant to be deep or high level and comprehensive in its understanding of Van Gogh. The movie is 1 hr 34 mins. The movie guide follows along with the movie to keep students engaged and focus. I have pulled it out during times of stress or grading backlog and honestly I love it and my students love it. This product contains the 2 page movie guide in Word, the answer key with some further questions for discussion, a printable character guide so kids can keep straight the character's names, and a quick and basic prewatch powerpoint so that they understand what they are looking at before they watch the movie.
