Love Bug Letter Recognition Game
Description
Love Bug is a fun way to practice letter recognition!
Includes:
- All alphabet upper and lower case letters on flower cards
- 6 bee player tokens cut outs
Preparation/ materials needed:
-Printed, laminated, and cut out flower cards
-Printed, laminated, and cut out bees player tokens
-Q tips: attach your bee flyers to cotton swabs with tape
-Plastic or reusable straws
-
How to play:
-This game is best to play with small groups of students and is perfect for literacy rotations.
-The students set up the letter garden by spreading out the flowers on the floor in front of them.
-Next, students take turns putting their “bee flyer” into their straw and blowing the bee into the garden.
-Students identify what letter the bee landed closest to and find the upper or lowercase match using the pictures for help if needed.
-The student then sets aside the cards from their turn into their collection pile.
