Los Rasgos del Personaje Power Point
This is a step-by-step PowerPoint that you can use to introduce character traits to your students and grab their attention to this skill. This is a great resource to do teach and/or review this skill with your students. As teaching character traits is a very hard skill to teach, I am sure that this power point is going to be a great resource for you and your students.
Students enjoy Power Points. Maybe it’s because they look at them while the teacher explains and it’s different from what they do on a daily basis. It’s also a good way to refresh their minds when they need to review a particular skill. I think they enjoy it a lot!
You can introduce this presentation to your students and use it for reviewing and also, you can make copies on card stock and make posters to remind your students of the steps and ways they have to recognize the feelings and behavior of a particular character.
I have noticed that if we post these posters around the room, the students make a point to look at them and they become sort of reminders of what they need to do. You can also make this presentation into a reference book for students to use.
I have also included a couple of graphs for your students to use while they’re reading a story.
Finally, there is a little game for the students to practice what the traits are. Here, you will have to make two (2) copies of the “Rasgos de los Personajes” slide. One for instruction and the other one to cut the images so that the students can match them with the definition.
