Description

This Bilingual Easy Reader "Look at my Lunch!" and "¡Mira mi Almuerzo!" is perfect for teaching beginner readers about Lunchtime, Food vocabulary, adjectives and beginning reader concepts!

This Bilingual Easy Reader Book about Lunch was created to engage and build confidence in our emerging readers, while helping to practice sight words, one-to-one word correspondence and basic primary level instructional standards.

What is included? There are four versions of this book included.

  1. A teacher version in color. (English & Spanish)
  2. Student black line to color, and save on ink. (English & Spanish)
  3. 7 Vocabulary Cards (English & Spanish)
  4. 4 Sight Word Cards (English & Spanish)

How to use this book?

  • Guided Reading Groups & Small Groups - Use this book as a tool for guided reading practice in the classroom with assistance from instructor.
  • Whole Group Read Aloud - Display the book onto a projector and model reading the book as a whole group read aloud.
  • Additional Practice / Homework: Print and send book home with students to allow students access to books at home, and for additional practice.

Suggested Guided Reading Level: B

  1. Repetition: This book contains a clear pattern that helps readers gain confidence with fluency, "Look at my ___. Yum!" "Mira mi ___. Ñam!"
  2. Short Syllables: This book contains very simple text with most syllables under 3 syllables long. This assists beginner readers in learning to blend syllables as they read.
  3. Basic Level Introduction: This book is a very basic introduction to lunchtime food and also includes great adjectives to describe each food (red, chocolate, cherry, ham).
