Broken down week by week for the entire year, you can see where holidays and PD days (SCDSB calendar) fall to further aid planning. This really helps me know that I'm covering all the necessary skills/topics. If you're anything like me, you've got to report cards and realised that you failed to fully cover Media. Never again!
This document aligns to Ministry/board requirements such as the 'First 20 Days' in Language and refers to the Kindergarten Nelson textbook, although you certainly don't need that specific resource to follow this outline.
Blank weeks are added throughout so as to give you time to work at your students' pace. Things always come up and added stress by not being where your plans say you need to be is not welcome. Use these weeks to 'catch up' or extra practice with tricky concepts, or relax a little for a week!
