What educators are saying

I absolutely love using this guide when I show this documentary. The kids are so fascinated by the film, and this guide helps them stay on task. Thank you
This is a great resource to pair with the movie. It did not take long to print and set up for students

Description

This movie guide goes with the award winning documentary, One Dollar A Day which is avalible on Netflix.

4 college students spend 56 days in Guatemala and explore the people and their lives living on $1 a day (or less). It is great for a history, Spanish or any class where you are learning about different cultures and understanding perspectives of others. My students loved this documentary.

This includes

TWO versions of a movie guide (questions are chronological) - the questions are the same but the formats are different. Great to differentiate!

A complete project that can be completed after the movie, which asks students to create their own non profit. This whole project allows students to look deeper at issues touched on in the movie, and asks them how THEY would help.

This would be great to leave for sub plans, or to complete with your students!
