What educators are saying
This was a good addition to our classroom dramatic play "pizza shop". We then used it as directions to make English Muffin pizzas in the classroom. Yum!
Description
Culinary Kindergarten was created to help children learn two essential life skills: cooking and reading. Integrating cooking and reading allows for a fun and meaningful process to learn to read while developing an appreciation for the foods we eat. The books are developed to be a bonding experience for families so children can learn to read and engage in cooking with the support of their grown-ups.
This Little Pizza Cookbook will teach children to read the word "the". They will learn basic cooking techniques which includes using the oven (with help from an adult). I hope your family loves the book and recipe as much as mine!
