Literature Theme Posters - 15 Common Themes in Literature

Theme in literature is an important topic in every Reading/ELA classroom, and what better way to remind your students of different common themes than by using these colorful posters! Posters are designed with the theme printed at the top and a thought-inspiring quote about that theme below. These posters make a great bulletin board/hallway display. Post student writing displaying their own thoughts about these themes around the posters. You can also print these at a smaller size to fit into Interactive Notebooks. Then, when students read a book, they can write the titles next to the corresponding theme chart.

Included are 15 different theme posters: friendship, honesty, integrity, growing up, courage, perseverance, acceptance, kindness, compassion, responsibility, teamwork, journey, fears, dreams, wisdom.

Posters are included in color and also in a black/white/gray scale to save ink – this would work well for those smaller interactive notebook pieces!
