Description

This workbook offers practice understanding and analyzing literary texts with a specific focus on poetry.

This book contains four poems. Each full-length poem is followed by a complete set of 10 reading comprehension questions. This includes multiple choice, graphic organizer, constructed response, and questions that mimic technology-enhanced questions.

It covers all the skills in the Reading Standards for Literature section of the Common Core standards. It will also help ensure that students have the skills, experience, and confidence to perform well on the state tests. It can be used to prepare for tasks involving analyzing poetry on various state tests including the FSA, STAAR, Smarter Balanced (SBAC), and PARCC assessments.
