Description

This product is an assortment of 14 different graphic organizers in line with Common Core for upper grades; Reading Literature & Reading Informational Text. Set focuses on critical thinking and comprehension skills.

Note: In the past, I have always struggled with students keeping all of their handouts, writing, and graphic organizers together in one neat spot. I finally decided to make a Literary Elements packet for each story/article that is read in class. I normally focus on 4-5 Literary Elements per story/article and mark them off on the front cover. I then gather those specific graphics organizers, staple them together, and pass out to the class. When completed, students then file them away in 3-ring binders and keep packets as a reference for future comparison/contrasting between stories, characters, and/or genres. Graphic organizers can be copied on one side or double-sided if extra practice/reinforcement is desired for that specific skill.

Printing Disclaimer: I have created these organizers outside the normal margins set by Microsoft Word. I could not save as PDF as margins kept getting cut off. Product created on Microsoft Word for Mac 2011; Version 14.6.7. (Please select this version when opening file to ensure printing areas are not cut off.) When ready to print...please select Page Set up and opt for "Paper Size - US Letter Borderless".
