Lion King (2019) Movie Questions for Music Education Elem. / Middle

This is a set of 26 questions (and key) for the movie, "Lion King" (2019) for music education. These questions are directed towards students in upper elementary & middle school. Questions go in order with the movie.

** I would not use this movie with younger elementary students as some parts are scary/very sad (stampede scene, hyena scene, ending scene, etc.)

Questions include but are not limited to: dynamics, meter, voicing, style, instrumentation, instruments, tempo, instrument families, mood, orchestra, minor key, harmony, acapella, etc.

This document is easily editable in Microsoft Word. If I were using this resource with my elementary students I would provide them an answer bank or turn the questions into multiple choice. Some prior knowledge is needed to answer these questions. This would also be a great resource to use for a substitute in music who does not have much background teaching music.
