What educators are saying

This was a great activity to start the year with! The students enjoyed seeing the chain put together.
This was a great resource to use at the beginning of the school year! We did the chain link activity, and I loved to see the connections students made to each other. It's still hanging up in our room today! Thanks!

Description

Build class community, facilitate creative thinking & connections, and get to know your students with this engaging back-to-school activity!

This unique “Linking In” activity is designed to build relationships by helping students make connections with their classmates. During this activity, students will write/draw things they love and parts of their identity on strips of paper. Then, students will work together to find connections between what they’ve recorded on the strips of paper. When they find a connection, they will link their strips together to form a chain. By the end of this activity, you will have a class paper chain that represents what your students have in common!
