Description

This is a short play meant to help enhance any lesson about life in Europe during the Feudal era, the Dark Ages, the Middle Ages - whatever you are doing in your class.

I even use this play to help introduce the coming Great Age of Exploration.

The play takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. This includes choosing parts, giving some instructions, handing out props (I use props gathered over the years, but not necessary). Parts can go to really any student in your classes.

The play is great for reinforcing or introducing how, after the Fall of Rome, Europe was in its Dark Age (first 500 years of the Middle Ages) but, over time, the power of kings grew, invasions lessened, populations grew and towns and trade revived!

I've also included some pages of notes from my Great Age of Exploration packet that will help any unit that teaches about this period of time. This play helps with the page containing the Fall of Rome and Revival of Towns and Trade notes.

I've also included links to some very helpful videos that teach about how the Great Age of Exploration came to be. These four videos are found on the Discovery Learning site, though. So you will need to join Discovery Learning. Many schools already have an account. Check with your school or librarian/media people.

I hope you enjoy this play. We have a lot of fun with it while learning. If you like this, check out all of the other plays, skits, reenactments, simulations, and lessons that I have on my TpT store!

Drop me a comment and let me know what you think! Thank you!
