What educators are saying

My students loved this! They were so interested in the pictures and what they were looking at. I would recommend this for upper elementary on the 100th day:)
I used this on the 100th day of school to show what life was like 100 years ago. My students were fascinated by the images that started many conversations.

Description

What's more fun on the 100th day of school than taking the kids back in time? This slide show can be used in a variety of ways to enrich knowledge about the past. The students will be surprised to learn how the way of life 100 years ago is much different than today. Mount the large photos on construction paper for a gallery walk. Allow the kids to write questions, comments, and thoughts about each photo. Reveal the truth behind the photos through the brief summaries. Or... Allow groups of students to become experts on each photo card. They can present the information behind each card as you present the slide show. You could also use the photos for journal entries and share the variety of stories created. On the instructions page, there is a link to a Google Slide Copy.
