- Google Slides™
What educators are saying
Description
Here is a Dance unit that is ready to go for your students!
In this unit, students will explore how dance has - and has not - changed throughout time. They will compare styles, be encouraged to use dance terminology (extension, flexion, pulse, tempo, beat, space, time, pace, use of space, etc.), use some researching skills and even get moving as they incorporate some styles into their own creations.
Included:
- Google Slides present order of lessons and activities, discussion prompts, (full class/small group - flexible for your style and class needs), videos (Youtube, not mine), etc.
- Activity prompts complete with instructions
- Activity files for you to share directly with your students - either print them out and have students complete or share over your LMS (Learning Management System like Google Classroom) for students to work
- Opportunities for pair and collaborative group work
- Cultural connections incorporated throughout the activities AND in the final task.
In the final task, students are encouraged to choose one style of dance rooted in a country or culture to explore and present.
This unit has been done with virtual and in-school students - always enjoyed!
