What educators are saying

This has been a great tool to use for back to school lessons. We have been going over the slides one day at a time and then students do it on their own to practice using Seesaw. This is a great resource to practice those letter skills!
I have started using each day with my students. I was looking for something new to use and this was a great resource. Thanks

Description

These digital or printable letter sorting activities provide 20 ways for students to sort and work with letters. Straight lines, versus curved. Tall letters versus short. Holes versus no holes, Letters versus numbers and symbols, etc..

The letter sorting activities are compatible with Google Slides and Seesaw, and come preloaded and ready to implement. We include step-by-step instructions and a video tutorial on how to access the activities on SeeSaw and Google Slides.

Visual discrimination is a pre-requisite skill to letter recognition. It helps pre-readers learn to recognize letter attributes and identify similarities and differences between them. This skill ultimately helps students determine what makes each letter unique, which in turn helps with letter identification and naming.

Each activity comes in three formats

  • a digital version: that can be assigned to students through Google Slides or Seesaw (can be used as a whole class, in small groups, or individually)
  • a printable version: that can be assigned as independent work or homework
  • a mat: that is meant to be laminated and used with magnetic letters or tiles

Please view the preview to see a sample of the included activities.

TEACHERS LIKE YOU SAID…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lindsey S. says, "Hands down one of the best resources for the beginning of first grade as a review! It was PERFECT and got me through until things calmed down enough to plan a little more thoroughly :)"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Love2PreK says, "I used this at the beginning of the year with my preschoolers as we began talking about letters. The students were very engaged and enjoyed doing the sorting on the computer. The multiple levels/types of sorting allowed me to easily differentiate for students of differing abilities. Thank you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Learning with Mrs. L. says, "Thank you for this resource! My students love these slides when completing activities in small group and whole group, virtual lessons."
