L'été | French Summer Emergent Reader | La négation

Teaching your primary French students to read and write in the negative? This French Summer themed reader will help make learning about "la négation" fun!

"Qu'est-ce qui se passe à la plage?" is a French Emergent reader focusing on teaching children to use the expression "ne . . . pas" to form the negative.

With a Summer Beach theme this book follows the pattern, "À la plage, je _____ . Mais, je ne ____ pas" and uses a variety of verbs.

Included in this resource:

• Big Book (in colour and black and white) - You can laminate and bind the pages to make and share the story. I like to add the book our class library.
• Half Page Version of Story with full text and images - Students can use this to take home, as a colouring book or booklet for their own personal book boxes.
• Half Page Version of the Story with cut and paste images to recreate the story. Students need to read the text and glue the images to the correct page
• Class Book Activity - includes colour and black and white title page as well as writing paper. Students can draw a picture of an activity they do at the beach paired with an activity they do not do at the beach.
