This Summer themed emergent reader features a variety of activities that students enjoy doing in the Summer. This book focuses on the language structure "J'aime ..." with the verb in the infinitive. The vocabulary features a variety of summertime activities.
This package features a colourful "big book". in 8 1/2 by 11. I print, laminate and bind this version. My students love to have this book in our classroom library. It also includes two 1/2 page black and white versions. They are printed two copies on each page for ease of photocopying. The first version is as complete copy of the story and the second version allows students to draw themselves doing the various activities. I have also included a sheet of illustrated cutouts. Rather than drawing in the images, students can cut and paste the images on the appropriate pages.
We make a lot of class books in our classroom and I have included a cover page and coordinating writing paper for you to make your own as well. This follow up activity is great to get students writing on their own! My students love to take our collaborative books home to share with their families.
