Description

Preschool teachers, get ready to embark on a sensory adventure like no other! Introducing our captivating sub plan that combines the theme of the senses with the intriguing art of Rene Magritte.

Engage your young learners' curiosity and spark their imaginations as they explore the enchanting world of perception through the eyes of one of the greatest surrealist artists. Let's dive into the realm of the senses and discover the magical art of Rene Magritte together!

Here's a glimpse of the sensory wonders you can add to this vibrant alongside this sub plan:

Introduction to Rene Magritte: Introduce your preschoolers to the surreal art of Rene Magritte. Show them examples of his thought-provoking paintings, discussing the elements of surprise, illusion, and symbolism present in his artwork. Encourage them to share their interpretations and observations, nurturing their critical thinking skills.

Sensory Stations: Create sensory stations that engage each of the five senses. Set up different stations where your students can explore textures, scents, tastes, sounds, and visuals. Encourage them to touch various materials, smell different scents, taste different flavors, listen to calming sounds, and observe visually stimulating objects. This sensory exploration will heighten their awareness and deepen their understanding of the senses.

Magritte-Inspired Sensory Art: Encourage your students to create their own sensory artworks inspired by Rene Magritte. Provide a variety of materials such as colored paper, paint, fabric, and textured objects. Encourage them to explore their senses as they experiment with different colors, shapes, and textures. Let their imaginations soar as they create surrealistic sensory art pieces.

Sensory Storytelling: Read sensory-themed books to your preschoolers, emphasizing the importance of each sense in our daily lives. Afterward, engage them in a sensory storytelling session where they can use their senses to describe objects, experiences, or emotions. Encourage them to use descriptive language and engage their senses in imaginative storytelling.

Sensory Scavenger Hunt: Organize a sensory scavenger hunt in your classroom or outdoor area. Create a list of sensory items for your students to find and experience, such as something soft, something fragrant, something crunchy, or something soothing. This interactive activity will reinforce their understanding of the senses while promoting exploration and discovery.

With this Sensory and Rene Magritte Sub Plan for Preschool, you can ensure an immersive and engaging day in your absence. Inspire your students' sensory exploration, nurture their creativity, and foster their understanding of the world around them.
