Introducing our "Hats-themed Sub Lesson":

Hat Exploration: Embark on a hat-tastic adventure as we explore the magical world of hats. From different types of hats to their purposes and cultural significance, students will become hat enthusiasts. Engaging activities and hands-on experiences will ignite their curiosity and appreciation for these unique accessories.

Terry Runyan Art Adventure: Immerse yourself in the delightful art of Terry Runyan, a talented artist known for her whimsical creations. Through age-appropriate discussions and visuals, students will explore Runyan's artworks featuring hats and discover how she brings imagination and color to life. They will be inspired to create their own hat-themed masterpieces.

Hat-inspired Art Project: Unleash your creativity as we embark on a hat-inspired art project inspired by Terry Runyan. Students will explore various art techniques and materials to create their own vibrant and imaginative hat artwork. They will experiment with colors, patterns, and textures, expressing their unique style and imagination.

Math and Measurement Fun: Explore mathematical concepts such as size, shape, and measurement with hat-themed math activities. Students will engage in sorting and classifying hats based on attributes, estimating and measuring sizes, and engaging in simple counting and pattern recognition using hat-related manipulatives.
