Description

We know about appositives, but they can feel like a pair of handcuffs, locking the writer into a brief brush stroke of simplified information. "His brother, a magician," "The mayor, an immigrant." Feeble.

In this lesson, a whole new world awaits. Noun phrases have a noun, a nucleus, which attracts its own colorful, descriptive elements of richness that give depth and satisfaction to the reader. The samples that you see here testify to the opportunities that invite, as multiple noun phrases become the joy of the sentence.
