This Catholic Corporal Works of Mercy resource is designed to help you keep older students fully engaged! The 41-slide interactive presentation leads students to examine the scriptural basis for the works of mercy and explore each in more detail. Discussion questions are scattered throughout to provide for collaborative class conversations. A student reflection sheet is also included to be used at the end of the lesson, leading students to reflect on how the works of mercy relate to their own lives. This crucial application component is what moves knowledge from heads to hearts!

This easy-to-use resource is also fully guided for the teacher. Print and Go! No additional prep is needed!

In this resource, you will find:

  • 41 slides  (I break this over 2-3 days)
  • Discussion prompts embedded throughout the presentation
  • Student recording sheet
  • End of the lesson student reflection sheet

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Define the word “corporal.”
  • Explain the meaning of each work of mercy
