Unit 5 includes four short e lessons that last five {ish} days each. While there is a 5-day lesson plan accompanying each lesson, there is complete flexibility with using these activities. If your learner needs to spend more time, there are plenty of extras.

Unit 5 includes four short e lessons that last five {ish} days each. While there is a 5-day lesson plan accompanying each lesson, there is complete flexibility with using these activities. If your learner needs to spend more time, there are plenty of extras.

Each lesson has 25 or more activities that center around a different short e word family and 2 beginning sight words {from List A/List B}. All activities come in color and black/white! Most of the activities are NO PREP and easy to implement. Only a few basic teaching supplies are really needed to teach with it.

Here’s a list of the word families and sight words* included for Short e/Unit 5:

Lesson 17- ED word family / sight words: get, all {61 pages}

Lesson 18- ET word family / sight words: so, will {62 pages}

Lesson 19- EN word family / sight words: this, good {62 pages}

Lesson 20- word family review / sight words: be, ride / PLUS: sight word review activities & short e extension activities {93 pages}

*All readers/lessons include review sight words, which come from Reading the Alphabet.
