What educators are saying

Good resource. Used it with my tutoring students to help with concepts after learning. Thank you for putting it all together.

Description

This worksheet/activity moves you from single words (Fun Worksheet #1 and #2) to commonly used Latin phrases. Students are given fifteen Latin phrases that were used by the Romans. They then try to match the Latin words with their English translation by looking for similar or familiar words in English found in each Latin phrase. Check out the Preview to see how this is formatted.

This printable addresses the following Common Core Standard: Use common, grade-appropriate Greek or Latin affixes and roots as clues to the meaning of a word (e.g., audience, auditory, audible).
