Description

Latin story to translate using the imperfect tense. This story has three sections, suitable for splitting into small groups if you wanted. The first section is about the birth of the twins, the second is about Diana, and the third is about Apollo and Daphne. In my Latin I class, we read the first section together, and then I let students choose whether to continue reading the Apollo section or the Diana section. Due to its length, this would also be appropriate reading for a Level II class, especially early in the year for verb tense review. Written for high school, but my 8th graders didn't have any problems with it.
