Las comunidades indígenas de México

In this resource, you will find information about all the different indigenous communities you can find in Mexico and the different languages spoken. This is a whole unit on indigenous communities with a lot of activities and information for students. This will take you approximately 2 weeks to complete. You will find student activities for specific topics such as:

-Los Aztecas(Mexicas) y Los Mayas

-Racismo y discriminación en los pueblos indígenas with a short film and discussion questions for the short film. As well as a group activity.

-La comunidad Muxe de Oaxaca with a short film and discussion questions.

-La comunidad Purépecha y el día de Muertos with two articles to read and activities to discuss the articles, some discussion questions, and a group project. As well as two short films with activities.

-Lorena la corredora Rarámuri with a template to write a mini biography on her life, access a short video about her, and activities to complete if students watch the documentary on her life.

-An essay topic for students to write after all the lessons

-A project for students to do as the final assessment for this unit.
