Description

Are you required to post language objectives in your math classroom but don't have the time or expertise to write them?

Save yourself time and potential frustration with these ready-to-use language objectives for proportional relationships.

What's included?

There is one content objective listed based on one math standard.

There are 5 different language objectives that each relate to the content in the math standard that describe how students will use language to meet the content objective. The 5 language objectives come in 3 different forms:

•Language objectives by themselves written as “Students will” statements

•Language objectives with possible student-worded examples

•Language objectives written as a student checklist written as ”I can” statements

Want to learn more about language objectives and how to use them? Read the blog post, "Language Objectives? Are you telling me I'm supposed to add another step to my lesson plans?"

Graph proportional relationships, interpreting the unit rate as the slope of the graph. Compare two different proportional relationships represented in different ways. For example, compare a distance-time graph to a distance-time equation to determine which of two moving objects has greater speed.
