Language Centres - Gardening: Le jardinage

Patterns: Students “read” the image patterns to their group by saying the French words aloud and guessing the last missing item based on the repeating patterns. Students can use the blank strips to create their own patterns to exchange with their peers. 

Pince à linge: Students use clothing pegs to indicate the correct image associated with the written word on these brightly coloured cards. 

Oui ou Non: Students work in groups to arrange the cards according to those that show corresponding images and words and those that do not. 

Spelling activity: Students arrange letter tiles to form the target words on each card. Alternatively, these cards can be laminated or put in protective pockets to allow students to practice writing the words with whiteboard pens. 

Self-correcting puzzles: Students match vocabulary words with their corresponding images in two piece puzzles.
