Description

"Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl is a fun and darkly humorous text to use with students of a variety of ages! Over the years of teaching this fabulous short story, I have noticed that various PDF versions often have many typos, misspellings and grammatical errors that can be distracting and confusing for students. However, I did find a full text version, thanks to classicshorts.com! You can access their version of it here:

http://www.classicshorts.com/stories/lamb.html

All I did was copy and paste the text and make it a little more format friendly for students.

Also, over my PDF literary travels, I have noticed that there are two slightly different versions of this story online. The one posted here is a little bit higher level than the other I have seen; it is also a few paragraphs longer.

I hope you find the download useful and you and your students enjoy Dahl's humor and irony!
