La familia - learning about the family in Spanish

This unit teaches basic family vocabulary to first graders. The words covered are: mamá, papá, bebé, hermano, hermana, abuelo, abuela, perro, gato. It includes age-appropriate images, a link to a song, several games and activities, teacher's directions and suggestions for further activities and games. It also includes a section of pictures of Mexican families. The unit is aligned to the new FL standards (standards included), with a presentational task, at the novice low level. The pages follow a logical teaching pace, which will lead you through the unit. A great resource for a FLES program.
