What educators are saying

I work with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities and the more interactive I can make a lesson, the more successful it will be. Thanks so much for your hard work!

Description

This engaging and interactive Spanish lesson plan will help you and your students celebrate La Tomatina, the unique celebration in Buñol, Spain. With a reading, simulation, and assessment, this lesson is low prep and contains everything you need. All you have to do is upload the quiz to your LMS and cut out "tomatoes" for your food fight.

This resource includes:

  • A 10-slide reading about La Tomatina, including cognates and key vocabulary defined; animated & static versions available. The visuals help novice students decode the meaning of words and phrases.
  • 26 tomato printables with information on them for the food fight simulation (students match up information after the food fight is over)
  • Directions + Expectations for the food fight simulation
  • An AUTO-GRADED quiz on Google Forms for no-prep assessment

I hope this lesson prompts some of your students to add this once-in-a-lifetime experience to their travel wish lists!
