La Géométrie - Cahier Interactif

This product is meant to support 2D Shapes, labeling them, identifying them (corners/sides), symmetry, attributes that characterize a shape and building forms using shapes.

What I have done is photocopy my booklet ON construction paper to colour co-ordinate and brighten up their notebooks. It has proven to be successful for my kids!

Product contains a total of 20 pages. 16 are to be used in the notebook.

1. First page is a divider
2. Second page is the interactive shapes where students are to glue down the top piece and beneath the flap explain its features

• I have used it as a sentence building opportunity in learning coins et cotés.
• For myself students were learning how to write sentences using:

"Il y a ... cotés/coins"

3. Next pages are attributes of a shape, students are to organize which

characterizes each shape

4. Next pages are focusing on symmetry, students cut them out and put them

in the RIGHT pocket

• • THERE ARE FOUR that are blank for this activity where students are to show their understanding of symmetrical/non-symmetrical shapes.

5. Symmetry is continued

• Students are to show and explain why a particular shape is symmetrical
• Here students continue sentence building: Cette forme est symétrique parce que...

6. Building real life artifacts using shapes.
