La Chasse de Cimetières!

Here is a halloween scavenger hunt: tiptoe through the tombstones! I started with an idea from the American Association of Teachers of French’s Commission for the Promotion of French https://promotion.frenchteachers.org/ I print, laminate and tape the tombstones outside of classrooms in each building, the deceased represents the content inside. On each tombstone I found a biography about the person and linked it to a QR code, these are in English so any interested student can learn more. It starts a conversation with other students in the school wondering about all the dead people. It also encourages co-workers to connect their content to French class. I use this where students will have to find the tombstone, take a picture and post it to a padlet. Use the clues and tombstones however you wish! Answer key included!!
