"Kitty and Mack" by W. D. Myers Lesson Plan Bundle (plans, handouts, key, PPTs)

This series of lesson plans has been created to teach story elements through use of "Kitty and Mack: A Love Story" by Walter Dean Myers. This text is a high-interest YA short story in which two teens suffer life-shattering events when on the way home from the train station after a college visit. As a whole, this plan is designed to take three 100-minute blocks and includes a series of standards from Common Core ELA 9-10 implementation and a correlation to Tennessee State English I SPIs.
