    Description

Kinetic theory, Fluids, Pascal, Archimedes, Bernoulli, Heating Curve: This bundle now comes with a student workbook! All the student pages compiled! Download the bonus file to use the workbook!

A great physical science bundled product! Save over 20% and a whole lot of planning time! With 4 labs, Scientist information sheets, a graphic organizer, class activities, a detailed PPT with 5 pages of fill in the blank student notes, drawing activities, handouts, a foldable and homework, this is a SUPER addition to your kinetic theory unit. Here is what you're getting...

Kinetic Theory: Labs, PPT, Student Notes and Homework Handout

This is a great little package! A 13 slide PowerPoint jam packed with information on the following topics: Kinetic theory, average kinetic energy (temperature), boiling vs. evaporation, boiling point, heat of vaporization, melting point, heat of fusion, diffusion, heating curve of a liquid, thermal expansion, behavior of water, amorphous solids and liquid crystals. Five pages of perfectly correlated student note sheets included. Two labs: The first is a very simple cornstarch and water lab just to get students thinking about what defines a solid/liquid, etc. The second lab requires Bunsen burners and has students record temperature and states of matter changes in water as it goes from ice to liquid water to steam. Students then graph their results and answer questions based on their graph. The last assignment is a handout with 5 real-life application questions. Answers are included. A great homework assignment or for use as a group work assignment in class to get students really thinking about and applying kinetic theory. All of these products are geared toward 8th graders and should not be used for students any younger. I feel these assignments are appropriate for up to 11th grade. Please see the preview so you know exactly what you are getting. Thank you!

    Viscosity Lab

This viscosity lab will knock your socks off! Your students will be completely engaged while testing the affect of temperature on viscosity. My students love this lab every year! In groups, students time the movement of an air bubble in a sealed test tube. So applicable to kinetic theory and how temperature is the measure of particle movement.

Teacher directions and tips, 2-page student lab, and answer key included.

    Archimedes, Pascal and Bernoulli

Introducing properties of fluids? This is a ready to go lesson! Just print and copy! A blank graphic organizer (on Archimedes, Pascal and Bernoulli) and their contributions to understanding the properties of fluids is included, along with information sheets on each and super cute frames to draw example pictures of each principle. A lesson plan is included. This is a great classwork assignment, but could also be used for homework. Please see the preview.

Bernoulli's Theorem: Understanding Properties of Fluids

Need a quick, ready to go lesson on Bernoulli? Three handouts on real-life examples of Bernoulli's theorem in action! The shower curtain example shows before and after pressure changes that cause your shower curtain to move in on you. 'The Tornado' and 'Airplane Emergency' has students create before and after pictures showing changes in air pressure and movement of objects. All examples include application questions. Answer key provided. Self-explanatory and a great sub plan!!!

Fluids Mini Labs, Challenge Lab and Foldable: Bernoulli and Archimedes

Need a little something extra for your study of fluid properties, Bernoulli and Archimedes? Mini labs (with 5 stations) feature Bernoulli and Archimedes. A challenge lab focuses on using Archimedes principle. A foldable for student binders included. Please see the preview so you know exactly what you are getting. A list of material needed for the labs is in the preview also.

Most of the material is visible in the preview, but please visit each product more a more detailed preview.

    Thank you!
