Description

Are you teaching Kinematics in your Physics classes? Check out this GREAT resource that covers the key topics of position-time graphs, velocity-time graphs, constant speed, acceleration, vectors, displacement, relative velocity and projectile motion. And it has dinosaurs!

Here is a bundle of 30 Kinematics related task cards, exit cards, entrance/admit tickets – whatever you want to call them! ;)
The great thing about these task cards is that you can use them however you like:
-start your lesson
-finish your lesson
-individual or cooperative test review
-as an assignment
-as homework

What’s included in the zipped folder?
10 files!
• 1 card per page (color and black & white)
• 4 cards per page (color and black & white)
• 4 of the same card per page (color and black & white)
• Answer sheet for students
• Answer sheet for teacher
• How-to guide with suggestions for use and
Full solutions for all 30 task cards (.pdf)

Topics:
1. Position-time graphs (4 cards)
2. Velocity-time graphs (4 cards)
3. Constant speed (4 cards)
4. Displacement with vectors (4 cards)
5. Relative velocity (4 cards)
6. Acceleration (5 cards, use each of the 5 Equations of Kinematics)
7. Projectile Motion (5 cards)

The cards are designed to have an increasing level of difficulty for each topic. I.e. Projectile motion is covered in cards 26-30; card 30 will be more difficult to solve than card 26.

Why dinosaurs?
That’s a silly question. Why dinosaurs?! Because dinosaurs are AWESOME! Little kids know it, big kids know it. Even Steven Spielberg and Chris Pratt know it! Plus it is a fun way to have a theme in a class with older students and increase their vocabulary.

Enjoy!
