Description

Looking for pre-made editable homework for your Kinders for the WHOLE YEAR? It is editable for your convenience through MS WORD, but you don't have to edit it. It is ready to print! The packets are set up to go home every three weeks.

The only thing you have to change is the due dates every three weeks, and send three books home with the packet for the students to read. (Books can be printables.)

What's in the download:

  • 100+ Pages of a WORD Doc
  • Directions for YOU
  • Directions for Parents
  • Pre-Made Homework Directions with the Printables
  • Sight Word Lists
  • Reading Logs

I sent home a below level (to gain confidence), on-level (to push a little harder), and advanced level (for the parent to read with their child) with each homework packet. The homework covers sight words for the whole year (85 total) with a few extra words our team found beneficial, and incorporates Common Core skills for reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I use Manilla envelopes to send the homework packets and 3 books home each 3 weeks. Imagine only having to look at homework every 3 weeks! :) Parents get used to the 3-week pattern after the first homework is completed. A reading log is at the end of each 3-week section.

****If you have problems opening it in Word, try this: Right Click the file, scroll down to click PROPERTIES and put a check in the “Unblock” box. Try to open it again.****

Directions for parents:

Kindergarten students will receive homework packets that are due every three weeks. Each day (Monday-Thursday) will have one or two assignments for the students to complete. Some assignments are written while others are activities for your child to do orally or with materials at home. All written assignments have a page in the packet for your child to complete the work. Please help your child complete the work each night and return the folder by the Due DATE (usually a Friday). Please wait until the 3rd week to return it. I will send the folders home again the following Monday.

Additionally, students have to read or listen to an adult read at least 10 books or more over the 3 week period. These books will include the books we provide for you to use in packet to use with Monday night homework. Please write down the books that you read with your child on the Book Log.

Thank you for your help! It’s going to be a great year!

Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
