What educators are saying

This was a great resource to use to talk about patterns, as well as actual turkey feather colours and camouflage.

Description

This simple six page emergent reader helps Kindergarteners build newly developing literacy skills while practicing pattern recognition skills. Each page has a picture of a turkey with ten tail feathers. The text reads, "Gobble! Gobble! Gobble! Look at me! My feathers have a pattern." Each page then displays one of the following patterns: AB, AAB, ABB, ABC, or AABB. The students can pick the colors for A, B or C and color the turkey's tail feathers in the corresponding pattern. I am very excited about my own Kindergarteners using this book to strengthen their reading and pattern skills. The clipart comes from the wonderful www.KPMDoodles.com. Hope you enjoy!-Mary Storms-mykindofkindergarten.blogspot.com
