What educators are saying

My students loved this resource for math review! It added such a fun review of what they have already learned. They also loved being able to come to the board and choose their own answer. Highly recommend!
My kids are so engaged when doing Toothy and the consistency of the game makes practicing new concepts easier, thank you!

How does the game work?

Students solve a problem on a digital task card. They choose the answer from three choices by tapping on the answer. If the answer is correct, a tooth gets placed automatically in Toothy’s mouth. If the answer is not correct, the game prompts them to go back to the problem to solve again. There are 24-26 problems within each skill-based game.

What kind of devices are compatible with Digital Toothy®?

Digital Toothy® works great with Smart boards, iPads™, laptops, desktops, and Chromebooks™. This file has two digital versions - PowerPoint™ and Google Slides™.

Can I check their answers?

We recommend using the recording sheets that are provided if you want to grade this activity.

Can more than one student play at the same time?

Yes! One license will provide your entire class to play these games at the same time if they are using separate devices. You can also project the game on your smart board and play as a whole class.

What do I do about some of my students who struggle with reading the directions?

We have provided an audio recording for many of the sets. This will work on both digital versions of these Toothy® Task Cards.

If you’d prefer to use the printable version of these task cards, we have them for a wide range of grade levels and concepts.

Standards

Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
