Kindergarten Literacy Fun | Digraphs | Reading Comprehension | Guided Writing

This literacy booklet was written for children ages 5-7. It is perfect for back-to-school, morning work or early finishers. It includes Sight Vocabulary, digraph/ word building activities, Comprehension, Sentence Building and Picture Compositions. Each week, students target a new digraph and a list of sight words with passages and writing activities that were constructed around them.

This Reading Comprehension activity was designed to promote fluency, phonemic blending of CVCC (ck,ss,ff,ll,zz) words and primer sight word knowledge. It is phase 2 for students who have mastered CVC word blending. By drawing and coloring pictures, the reader demonstrates that he or she is reading to understand rather than automaticity.

There are 10 stories. These stories include sight words and words ending with ck, zz, ss, ff and ll. This resource is perfect for early finishers and beginner readers with no prep for teachers or parents.

Please note that this resource can be used for other ages or grades depending on the students' capabilities.
