What educators are saying

Our school requires us to have our standards displayed in the class each week. This resource makes it really easy to change out each week on my display instead of having to write out the standards. Thank you!

Description

This bundle of Kindergarten I Can Statements and checklists includes everything you need to be sure you're teaching all the math and language arts standards.

These adorable cards are color coded by standard, and they are formatted to fit in pocket charts (so they don't take up so much space!) Standard cards are worded in student-friendly definitions with colorful graphics.

Also included are color and BW checklists that can be sent home BEFORE you begin a unit (or simply at the beginning of the year) so students are aware of the standards you will be teaching.

Then, you can send home assessment checklists AFTER you complete a unit (or at report card testing) to keep parents updated on the standards their students have mastered and what they still need to work on.

I have found these checklists to be incredibly helpful so families are aware of exactly what their child is expected to learn in kindergarten. Working together and keeping families updated is key to student success!

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
