What educators are saying

I am not a KG teacher. As a coverage teacher in KG room, this resource was useful for th topics it covered. With my lessons before and after, the worksheets fit in very well. Thank you.
Great resource organized with curriculum expectations and links to the four frames. Easy to use for teachers and students. Thank you for creating this resource

    Description

This is a collection of my resources that I have started for a Kindergarten Health program. While my focus is on Ontario Health Education, these resources are valuable for teachers anywhere at this level. My goal will be always to have at least one resource free with your purchase. As I add more resources, the bundle price will increase for any new buyers - your one-time purchase will fix your cost, yet give you free access to updates and newly added resources.

Within this bundle you have resources to guide your teaching in:

Mental Health - Students will focus on reading the most obvious signs of happiness and sadness. The goal is to allow them to become self-aware and also be empathetic to others.

Healthy Alphabet - This package is a fun and interactive way to get your kinders to practice spelling, colouring and learning words that deal with Health Education topics. I have added second pages for each letter/word that will be educational for primary students.

Report Card Comments - 32 Health and Physical Education comments to help make easy work of your report cards. You can edit them to make them personal or to add a specific activity or area of focus that your students have worked on. These are all based on the updated 2016 Ontario curriculum expectations for kindergarten and written to match students' expectations in your Health and Physical Education program. NEXT STEPS included.

Introduction to Canada's Food Guide - Begin an introduction to their healthy plate of vegetables and fruits, protein foods, and whole grains. Students will learn a variety of foods and understand that water should be their drink of choice. Lastly, becoming aware of when they should eat and when to stop eating will come into focus.

A Healthy Me - This resource looks at some simple ideas for students to be safe and focus on a healthy lifestyle. Discuss sleeping habits, healthy and litter-less snacks, water, active lifestyle, safety at home and on the way to school, and protection from the sun. Use it as an introduction to the Health and Safety of your young students.

Independence, Self-Regulation, & Responsibility - Help your young students demonstrate self-reliance and a sense of responsibility. They must take care of personal belongings for safety reasons and know how to get the materials they need in a learning environment. Help students adapt behaviour to their environment to ensure their safety and others' safety. Learning about their emotions will allow them to demonstrate self-control.

Eating with Allergies - Guide students through an understanding of foods that some people are allergic to and how they can help keep their classroom a safe space. They will discuss with children what it means to be allergic and why some students must carry an EpiPen.

As always, please look at the previews of each resource so that you know exactly what you're purchasing with no surprises. Thank you!
